We started watching season two this week, and the first episode was awful. Not a patch on the previous series, and seemed to have been written or directed by someone else, as the tone was just completely off. We very nearly ditched it there and then, but I put on episode 2 on a whim, and it was glorious.

Callbacks to previous episodes, laugh out loud jokes, and the characters are all back to how they should be. Will keep watching for now.

I watched the first episode of the first season and while I love the main character lady (can't remember her name) I didn't enjoy the programme.

Perhaps I should persevere. She is lovely.

I really liked the theme song.

Her name is in the title of the thread!

I didn't really like it either (I think I watched the entire first series, though).

Love the theme song, however.

Took a few eps to warm up, but I loved S1.

I think the real beauty of this show is the writing (by Tina Fey no less!). It raises questions on identity, gender, race, etc. but in a very adorable and approachable way. It's actually quite clever, despite it being so easy to watch :D

Like the episode where Titus figures out he gets better treatment from society as a werewolf than he does as a black dude. That made me properly laugh out loud.

Second season starts terribly, but and whilst a number of the jokes fall flat, it turns out to be (kinda) intentional.

I'm on episode 11 and they've taken it in a fantastic direction.

I thought it was good but not great. But that theme tune is wonderful for sure.

I think it was episode 4 we watched last night, and already it's brilliant again. Just a shaky opener.

- "Blowfish."
- "Four!"

This reminded me to watch the last three episodes of the first series tonight.

Jon Hamm as the preacher was amazing, and the episode with the spin class was awesome. I'd forgotten how much I liked the show.
