Yeah, how dare they ruin the minute's silence for Top Gear >:(

If anything the main content of the show served only to remind me how stale it had become. Driving caravans round a track again, really?

Hope they spend their recess thinking up some new material and ideas; smashing up old caravans being driven at speed round a racetrack is *so* 2003 (like the OS on my computer :D )

Would be nice to see the back of SIARPC as well IMO, but we won't.

I think that the "history of <whatever>" bits were really good, but driving a Ford Fiesta from a landing craft with 4 Marines as passengers was superb. That whole sequence was superb.

I agree, but I wouldn't be that surprised if it were dropped, or, at least, moved well away from "person who has a new film out that week".

I'd much rather see "Pro Racers IARPC".

Would some elements belong to Top Gear still? No clue how that sort of thing works, is that something you could copyright?

It didn't seem to bother Fifth Gear when that started up as almost the exact same show as old Top Gear. Still, I guess there was less unique things about the old one.

Didn't Five buy the show off the BBC?

I think more accurately, Top Gear had been cancelled and the whole production minus Clarkson migrated to 5

I'm not sure about Matt LeBlanc. I shall withhold judgement until I see him present, of course, but he doesn't strike me as very interesting when he's not being Joey.

Although he is just playing a character.

Arguably just like the old presenters did.

Aye, I don't care about cars in the slightest but he's so good in Episodes I'll definitely check out the new Top Gear just to see what he's like in this, whereas previously I didn't give a fuck.

It's an age thing. If I have to explain, you would need to watch a lot of a 70s sitcom

I know what Citizen Smith is if that's what you're talking about, I just didn't see why you'd decided myp's name was a reference to that?

Strong rumours about Eddie Jordan being the third presenter, which would (in my opinion) be a fucking disaster.
