I think being on the fence about fracking and privatised railways probably pushed them over the line for me. Either that or for three months of the year I go all fascist. |

Anyone knows offhand who runs that site? I've seen these ones before where the site is run by a minority party trying to show how great their policies are. |

No, but it covers politics in about 30 countries so unlikely to be run by any U.K. Political group |

It's a bit odd how you can be 62% Labour, 61% Lib Dems and also 57% Conservative. If all the major parties are that close, you may as well just pick one based on how much you like the colour of their logo. |

For me Labour and Green ended up being higher (69%) than the SNP (67%). Not surprised about Green, but a little with Labour. Tories are, unsurprisingly, right down at 35% |

Between the beginning of March, and end of May there will be 7 bank holidays! I think this could be a master stroke, every year the more right leaning people on my Facebook timeline are always pleading for St George's day to be a bank holiday! |

I note Tim Farron's getting a lot of stick for not saying if he thinks gay sex is a sin or not. It doesn't matter what he thinks about it: what matters if he wants to stop others doing it. That's kind of what liberalism's about, but doesn't make as good headlines. I'm not a fan of golf or the so-called golfing community, but what they do on the grass with sticks is their business so long as it doesn't hurt me or other people. |

Perhaps if I put some money on Mme. Le Pen that might swing it? Much depends on how inoffensive M. Macaron is to moderates on either side, but French politics is always very fractious. Really should read more French history and contemporary politics on it at some point. |

Women's equality is an important issue and I think the publicity is important. Going after Davies seems a very sensible way of both highlighting your key issue and taking a mysogenistic twat out of the governing body. |

Voting for a minor or young (or minor and young) party helps push them above the threshold so they get their deposit back for use in the next campaign. It also makes the more established parties aware of an issue and demographic they are failing to appeal to and, one hopes, make some shift to attract these voters. The classic example is the sudden interest in environmental issues among the major parties after the Greens came out of nowhere in the 1989 Euros. Here endeth the lesson. |
