It left Memphis at 4:26am apparently. Although I have no idea what timezone they are reporting that in, could be local, could be China as that is where it started out.

I thought you were getting one from John Lewis?

Post subject:  Re: Wearable Tech

I was, until Motorola told me they had lied to me, and they didn't actually cancel my order, and shipped it anyway.
I cancelled the John Lewis one after that.

Post subject:  Re: Wearable Tech

John Lewis seem to be claiming that their 2 year electricals warranty doesn't apply to the Moto360. That could make for some interesting conversations in the future, I imagine.

I wouldn't actually come between someone and the unboxing of their new gadget.

That looks quite nice, built in GPS too and all for $200.

That does actually look quite nice, GPS will kill the battery though :)

Does it only work with Windows Phone, or is it compatible with Other Brands?

Works with all three apparently.

Works with everything, the only thing you need a windows phone for is the voice commands I think.

Don't think so. If I say enough words some of them are bound to be funny eventually. FACT.

Hey, does GazChap's Technohat count as wearable tech?

Author:  Doctor Glyndwr [ Sat Nov 01, 2014 0:16 ]
Post subject:  Re: Wearable Tech

...not really, I'd argue. I mean it's wearable in the strictest definition of the word but as a jargon term for a class of tech "wearable" also implies "mobile."

Seems to be working fine, no dodgy pixels or anything :) I've installed Wear Mini Launcher, which is the only addon necessary at the moment. Might play around with some custom faces later.

How responsive to a wrist flick when typing is yours Grim...? Mine is basically unresponsive, it only turns on automatically if you raise your arm and twist, which is a bit shit. Not sure if that is just the way it is, or mine is faulty.

It seems okay. I've not been annoyed by it yet, at any rate.

Author:  Trooper [ Mon Nov 03, 2014 16:02 ]
Post subject:  Re: Wearable Tech

Hmmm.... Not sure if it's just me or a dodgy accelerometer then. I don't know how it should be acting though. Should turning your wrist when typing turn on the watch face? I would have expected so.
I might send it back and see what the replacement is like, but that runs the risk of dead pixels again...
