I have been for (almost) a year now, before that I was writing for a couple of PMCs and an arms firm or two. Slightly soul-tarnising work, that.

Back from hospital. Not got anything horribly wrong. Although my arms hurt from excessive needling to add to my woes.

And it appears I've found my superpower - the ability to break medical machines by having them used on me. I think I killed 4 this time.

Not quite as useful as the ability to fly, I'll grant you, but I'm sure it has its uses.

Fairly sure I didn't. Diagnosis was eventually "Don't know, but it isn't any of the things we were worried about. So you'll be fine to take strong pain medication and be happy you're not covering up anything bad. Blood results indicate some sort of infection" Oh, and "You really can't cope with needles, can you?", as I proceed to uncontrollably shake after someone injected/removed something from me. Every single time.

The intermediate diagnosis of "You're a medical marvel and we have no idea what's going on. Have your arms always done that?" was thankfully sorted when they realised they'd read the wrong blood results.

Well I'm glad to hear you're okay and hope you're starting to feel better (and not just because of pain killers...).

You're right, and now it's another weekend. They're recording a video for it today so I'm going to be involved with that.

I've got to be honest, the recording process was a shambles so whether they'll manage to get the song out to buy is another matter. It should be on YouTube and such like though so I'll let you all know.

Also... I think I may wear my Ultimate Warrior jacket for the video.

As face book pops up messages of what you did 12 months ago...
It looks like I joined Northgate masters Swimming club, so that was the first step towards doing my first Triathlon.
It appears I have ran over 500 miles and Cycled over 400 miles in the last year.
It has lead me to drop a few stone and finally have my diabetes under control.
I think I am allowed to be a little smug today smile emoticon
Now to plan for next year, so far I am doing 3 half marathons and 2 Triathlons.

Good work mate! I wish I had your drive. I barely manage to muster up the motivation to play squash every week and go for a couple of 3 mile runs every week.

I'm pretty sure 1lb is too small a measurement to count as an actual scorable loss. A good shit can move the needle by that much ;)

Yay to Tesco, I ordered some champagne for Christmas on a home delivery.

There was supposed to be 6 bottles of pink among other stuff.

On the delivery note it said they only had 4, but they delivered 5 and still only charged for 4.

The delivery guy was aware and just told my wife " we will say no more about that then"

My grandmother once ordered four chickens from Tesco. When the delivery came the woman said 'hmmm... I don't like the way that they've put those in that bag. They should be double bagged: that would be the normal way to do it. I'm going to mark these as a rejection. Because I'd expect them to be double bagged I can't take them back. You can dispose of them... if you wanted to... it's not for me to tell you what to do with them.'

Remember my Christmas song I recorded a few weeks ago? Well, the video is now on YouTube. To be honest, I'm surprised they managed to scrape this together with the amount of footage they shot but still... It looks.. erm.. alright.

I did get credited as a producer though so that's nice. Anyway, take a look:-
