He spent most of yesterday feeling up a cod and such was the excitement, he can no longer aim straight. Either that or the cocaine.

For no apparent reason, you getting your sexual jollies from fish reminded me of a lesson at school. Fish dissection - where a boy ran round with a fish poop tube and sprayed its contents over everyone. Lovely. (Better than when the school got the dissection order wrong, and the a box of bananas was delivered for our Rat dissection lesson. Apparently, bananas aren't all that interesting to dissect.)

The man from Redmond, he say "no":

http://kotaku.com/5010324/microsoft-exp ... aywood-ban

Quote:
"We want the Xbox LIVE community to have the freedom to express themselves, but we also have a responsibility to create an inclusive, safe environment," said Microsoft's Stephen Toulouse. "While it may be clear to some that Gaywood is a legitimate surname, it may not be obvious to other Xbox LIVE members. In this case, a complaint was filed by a member of the community, requiring the Xbox LIVE team to examine the gamertag within the context of the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use. Based on the these guidelines, it was necessary for the gamertag to change."

However you'll have to go to his blog to get the "context" behind the decision:

You HATEMONGER!

A little fun CoD last night before the Champions League Final. I'm at a quiz tonight and am busy Friday, but the weekend promises much fun gaming activity (as does next week with the Feyonce is working nights!)

You won't be playing it then though, will you?

CoD4 is arguably the best multiplayer game on the 360; 2 and 3 were not. I don't think we'll be seeing a significant price-drop until people start trading it in, which I don't think will happen for a while.

As I said to Curio last night, I'm going to travel to Nottingham and burn his little piece of paper saying who he's played and where in cricket.

Anyone who chooses to play Eragon is expelled from this discussion.

I won't need the bit of paper soon anyway! I've now completed all the ODI achievements and I've got to win at four more stadia... just the Test matches and World Cup to win with seven more teams now. *shudders*

Joining the 1st game on the wrong side and being killed 3 or 4 times on the trot by CUS I just knew it wasnt going to be a good night for me.

FLIS who was watching at the time said I sounded like Mr Dave cos I complained about shooting someone in the face 3 times with a gun and they didnt die; I told her to shut up.

Bobby and Dimmers stood out for having a cracking game tho...even punda, I hate groundwar, baya had a cracking game one map, cant remember which it was, but he kicked ass...sorry arse, damn americans!

Shame the night's gaming ended before I got a kill streak above 5...whats up with you people...arent you off work for tomorrow's bank holiday?

That was fun, till the americans were very 'gun-ho americana' to us. Not really experienced that before.

I'm rather new to all this, and I must say I'm rather enjoying it all. I was going to get the map pack till you all dissed it.

If I'm ever 'odd' online it's because my possible BeeX-WAG if getting confused with the 360 whislt I'm not about.

She's good proof of how the "blades" system is another example of Microsoft's inability to make a GUI.

Yes, that type of American is annoying. I'm sure they go back to Be-Aggressive-And-Hateful-To-Each-Other.Com and glory about how they defeated some British people and made jokes about tea!

I like the map pack. If we get too many people to play in games (more than 8) then playing on Killhouse is great fun, as it's just a warehouse full of obstacles. I really love 'Creek', and tend to do well on it by hiding in specific places and being sneaky. 'Chinatown' is confusing and I still don't know my way around it, but isn't too bad. 'Broadcast' can be fun, though it's very easy to think you're in a safe place, only to find out seconds later that you're somewhere with about seven lines of sight to it.

My favourite map though has to be 'Overgrown'. Excellent map.

I agree with Curiosity on most of the above, the map pack may not be worth £7 or whatever it costs on the xbox, but the maps are ok. Chinatown is probably the only map which I still dont know. Its very much in your face all out guns blazing and doesnt really suit the snipers.

I quite like Creek for much of the reasons I dislike Chinatown...its much slower paced..you can sit/lie in the grass and wait or if you want to, you can run in around the back and shoot people from behind. Its quite open and fairly easy to see where you are being shot from.

Although Killhouse can be quite fun with a few of us online, I felt somewhat ripped off with this map as it probably wouldve taken the programmers 5 mins to make...this map shouldve been a separate free download in my opinion.

I think Broadcast is good outside but pretty crap inside.

Overgrown is also my favourite map and I only wish there were a few more maps like it. Nice and grassy with a lot of mixed tactics. Unlike some of the other maps, this is a great one for teamplay. And it includes granny's house; that in itself gives it 50 points over any other map.

You know you've played too much Call of Duty when you wake up and can still see a red dot sight...

Some excellent playing last night chaps!

The highlight for me being that we played with a rather excellent fellow who was the antithesis of the nasty, aggressive Americans from earlier. I can't remember whether his name was AcquiredToaster or AdjustedToaster or similar, but he was a rather splendid person.

After a few games wtih him, we had a major standoff as he tried to storm my sniper tower on Ambush. In a mixture of stun, smoke and regular grenades, claymores pistols and SMGs, we fought each other for over a minute, consistently damging each other, but not enough for a kill. At one point someone else even interposed themselves into our battle, so I shot him and nicked his AK74-u, which I eventually used to kill my nemesis (I died myself shortly after, someone lobbing a grenade into the room as I tried to call in an airstrike).

A few seconds later I get a message from him, still in the game. I go and hide somewhere and read it, expecting him to having called be a n00bFAG for camping with a sniper rifle, but he just messaged me to say "Epic Battle!".

That ever so slightly reaffirmed my faith in the world.

:)
