It's probably about eight metres to the fusebox going via walls, and the old cable appears to be 2.5mm stuff. |

Yeah, that's going to really restrict the gas flow. Get it replaced. |

You might have got away with 4mm but your man probably wants 6 in there. It will retard the pies. |

Card sorted. Decided to bite the bullet and pay the 13p a minute to phone the states (as it's better than paying Tiscali 15p a minute and being on the phone for an hour NOT to get answers on a borked net connection) and the RMA has gone through. Once they recieve the card it's 5 business days then I get a new one Not sure it'll be a 8600gts 256mb but whatever I can get I'll sell on and get a replacement. |

All airports open at 10pm tonight. Craster can go on holiday! Unless they're still dealing with the backlog on Friday, I guess. Given that conditions are not much different to a couple of days ago, does this mean the CAA is suggesting that airports were kept shut unnecessarily then? EDIT - according to the news just then, the engine manufacturers changed their minds...! |

So, reading between the lines, the government has cajoled the CAA into abandoning their precautionary principle and opening the airspace. |

Walking out the train station a couple of minutes ago, an aeroplane flew overhead. The world is a cold, dark, place when, under current circumstances you cannot point at the sky shouting " A FLY PLANE, A FLY PLANE, OH MAGICAL WORLD!!!!" without getting the slightest comedic reaction. Incidentally, for the good people who wished me well earlier, the good thing happened, and I am rather drunk. |

Having now done my basic snowboarding lessons, I decided to spend an hour after work today on the main slope at our local snow centre. This is the first time I have done so without there being an instructor present and it took all the concentration and willpower in my body to stop any poo from coming out whilst I was there at the top, looking down the slope I was about to chuck myself down with a plank of wood tied to my feet. I had a lot of fun though, and only fell off twice. Both times I fell whilst trying to do a toe-edge turn, and I have now discovered that falling over and hurtling down a ski slope on your belly with a plank of wood tied to your feet is a much less painful and traumatic experience than doing exactly the same but on your arse. |

I had the first barbecue of the year earlier today. On a balcony. Wasn't too bad, even though half the food had to be discarded as it wasn't cooking properly. Man, I missed barbecues. Last time I remember having one was the Saturday after the Doctor Who episode 'The Doctor's Daughter' aired. My memory is really good, see? |

Operation Repair The 360's Fan was a complete success. I can't see that I am never going to need to use the Torx screwdrivers again, though. Until the next Eggbox repair, of course. Well done Riles - I assume the good thing is that they've made you a partner? |

They're more usually security Torx, which is the same but with a pip in the middle so your normal torx bits don't fit |
