I like it when a dead thread comes back to life as often there's interesting points to read that might otherwise be missed. People shouldn't be penalised for not searching, though, especially if the thread was from wayback.

Of course, on some history forums I read it feels like there's only four or so topics that just appear in different guises in every thread.

Meh, wireless can go suck a fuck. We're an all-Homeplug household so whichever console we went for, we would've had to buy an extra one anyway (actually that's a lie; the cable modem and router sit right behind the TV in the living room so all we need to get online is an Ethernet cable, which ironically leaves the Wii as the only console we wouldn't be able to get online out of the box).

It's horses for courses really; in our case, the PS3 isn't automatically $50 better value than the 360 because we don't need wireless, and similarly there's no point in us going Blu-Ray anytime soon as we don't have the kit to enjoy it properly (stupid girlfriend not wanting to buy a new HDTV, grumble grumble).
