Dunno yet, I just grabbed it because it's cheap and I'll probably finish Max Payne before I start on it.

Funny old world, isn't it? There's days I spend more than that on lunch, and that's gone in 20 minutes. And yet I cannot deny that, in the context of iPad games, £7 is absolutely a "fair bit".

Quote:
Is it any good?
So far, yes. It's a free download with the first few matches, then throws up an IAP to unlock the rest of it, not dissimilar to XBLAH. You know by the end of the demo bit if you want the rest or not. There appears to be a lot of game here -- ten pre-built themed decks to unlock, each with 30 extra cards to unlock. No from-scratch deck builder, as with the other Magic games, which is either a plus or a minus depending on how propellerheaded you are about Magic.

Lex Luthor is sat on our desk, and we played three hours last night.

It's got mostly better controls I think, but certain people might disagree after spending twenty goes trying to jump across two pillars.

There seems to be more of an emphasis on doing things separately, so it fixes the split screen down the middle, rather than moving it around.

How much did you get for it if you don't mind me asking? I wouldn't have thought that there would have been that much call for it now the HD versions are out.

No, not that much. About £13. It was going for about £30 a couple of years ago.

<0.66> to unlock all the levels in Siege Hero for Android. It's an Angry Bird-ish physics thing at heart but without a lot of the randomness that blights Angry Birds because your projectiles land wherever you tap. Which leaves you free to worry only about the strategy for bringing down the various structures and killing/protecting the people in them as appropriate. The base version of the game is free and has quite a few levels so anyone who fancies it can give it a shot risk free.

Christ, this'll teach me to go randomly browsing the Android market. A sequel to official Best Mobile Game Ever* "Where's My Water" called Where's My Perry? has just been released for Android so I've snapped that shit up for a massive <0.64>. <0.69> on interesting looking (and very stylish) Android platformer Oscura. Produced by MTV, which is a bit odd.

ETA: This is absolutely gorgeous and has excellent music/sfx as well. It doesn't take long to just run through the twelve levels in the game, but the real challenge would be trying to four star them all (rating based on speed, number of deaths and collectibles gathered) which would be an utter nightmare as the the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. Anyway, if you like gorgeous 2D platformers then this comes recommended.

I bought that purely because it features Perry the Platypus.

It is ace. Lovely little puzzle game.

If you like it then definitely pick up Where's My Water as it's the exact same game but with a few different techniques (and many more levels). I finished all of the current levels and challenges in Where's My Perry this morning, but I'm pretty well-practised at it due to finishing Where's My Water; and I did play it for most of yesterday! There are more levels to come in the same way they keep adding content to WMW so I'm happy with the investment in it.

<0.75> on Madfinger's new zombie FPS Dead Trigger for Android. Their previous games, Shadowgun and Samurai II: Vengeance, are both gorgeous and fantasically well implemented so I'm happy to throw money at them sight unseen for their new one. It's also out on iOS if any Apple folks are interested by it or their previous games.

ETA: Disappointingly they've gone for a bullshit 'paymium' model for this game where some of the better weapons and items in the game cost real money via IAP (while others can be purchased normally using in-game currency picked up for carrying out missions) which I'm not happy supporting so I can't really recommend this one. Also the game itself is very repetitive and, despite being one of the best looking mobile games I've ever seen, I don't think it's going to stay interesting for very long.
