It isn't against the law to walk out into the path of a moving car without looking.

Robot removes snow when it needs to. Until people spy thousands of dollars of snow clearing equipment lying around and half inch it. Then, it's stupid.

On the subject of robots, I've been having a bit of a tidy-up today and, as always, I find stuff I'd forgotten I'd bought, like the Wonderborg. It's the version that plugs into a PC rather than a Wonderswan but it seems a natty bit of kit.

4600KWH PER YEAR? GTFO.

That would mean it generates more than 500W continuously, 24 hours a day. And it really doesn't.

It's possibly got enough power to run the lights in the top of it, and that'll be it. 4600WH per year then.

Correct. Nor is it against the law to throw yourself off a bridge.

Imagine if the councils hadn't spent all that money on traffic calming measures, eh? They might not have needed to sell off the sports fields, then.

I'm baffled that anyone would actually be arguing the case for letting children play football on the road.

The good old days! Jumpers for goal posts! Dead children because of stupid parents!

You gotta educate the kids, man. That's the first thing that should be done. However slow you make cars go you're still going to get squashed kids if they don't know just how dangerous it is.

We played in the road all the time. If a car came, we had a good 30 second warning even if we didn't hear them first. None of us even came close to getting hurt, because we knew not to play on the corner and we knew to move well out of the way if we even thought one was coming. It wouldn't work on shorter roads, mind.

I think that was a gag about 99 ice creams. Although I can't remember them ever being less than a quid twenty. But still.
