Chin up. I think he did the top 20 posters at that time.

I'm only messing... I like being like an extra on the forum! Kind of like a mysterious bit player. I imagine the forum credits would run and I would appear under the heading "Guest starring.."

Nah, if we were in the credits, we'd be like the unnamed characters in films like 'Man in hat' and 'Man blown to smithereens'.

My overriding memory of gaming with Mrs Malabar was a round of Survival in L4D, in the Lighthouse map. She fussed over the placement of the petrol cans and gas cylinders for ages, bossing us around as to where they would go, tutting when we deviated from her master plan by a molecule, and generally being In Charge. We lasted less than a minute.

I love the fact that all he could muster about me is 'nice avatar'.

It reminds me of the Simpsons where Homer thinks he's dying and says (something like) "Lisa, I know you'll make me proud. Bart... I like your sheets"

I hope I've made more of an impression this year.

Had a text just now from my team leader, telling me that tomorrow I am now going to do the other desk (which I hate), and duly be staying an hour later too, until 10pm.

Except, I'd already made plans to go away this weekend, straight from work, at my usual finish time of 9pm.

So I'm not asked so much as told at practically the last minute, and then I am made to feel I'm being unreasonable when I refuse to work the extra hour as I've already made lans.

EDIT: Colleague has just told me it's NOT short notice, she'd booked yesterday off ages ago but team leader hadn't bothered amending the roster (so I could see that I'd been swapped) nor telling me until now. Which to my mind is still short notice as regardless of how far in advance it's booked, if it's impossible for me to be aware of it then it might as well be a last minute change. Still, my relief is now coming in an hour early (he doesn't mind overtime) but I am still being made to feel a bit guilty for not being flexible.
