Blokes wearing brown shoes with blue suits.

See I prefer brown to black with a blue suit.

Depends on the shade of blue. Lest we remember the old adage that I might have made up..

“The brighter the blue, the lighter the shoe”

Brown shoes are often frowned upon in the City. "when in town, never go brown."

But the City is full of pricks. Blue and brown all the way.

Always brown shoes with a blue suit.

What colour shoes with a grey suit. Black seems to monochrome

This door between the kitchen and the Brewtility room looks different from each side. I have recently noticed this and now I cannot unsee it.

You just did.

I must agree, to a degree, i.e. SOME people annoy me.

(My fucking useless boss being a case in point.)

Comedy radio shows with one person in the audience who laughs louder than everyone else, equally loudly at everything, and that sounds like forced laughter all the time.

I wonder if it's sometimes a friend or relative of someone in the cast, trying to generate more laughs from others in the audience.

It is normally me that laughs too loud :(

It's so when you listen to it, you can identify "your" laugh, even if it's been moved to a retake or different part entirely.

If you just do this naturally, I forgive you. If you're doing it as per Kern's observation, I don't.

But very occasionally that's good, like when you can clearly hear Phillip Schofield laughing at "How little are these women?" in Friends.

Did it sound natural or forced?

As they say, when attending a recording of "Mrs Brown's Boys", never be the first to stop laughing.

Oh yes, so much. Also bleak (we know many of you have no money till payday) and honest (now we want some, even though that won't help the former!) all at once.

I know this is a divisive practice anyway, but:
Typing emojis on a phone - very easy
Typing emojis in the various desktop messaging apps - varying degrees of faff.
Remembering which of the aforementioned apps will automatically convert emoticons into emoji - near impossible, in my experience.

In the web version of whatsapp, it's a little annoying that it'll convert :-) but not :)
(and this forum does it the other way around it seems)

Oh, I didn't know that. Less faff, thanks! (But still an extra keystroke's-worth of faff.)

The word 'oftentimes' annoys me. It crops up a lot in Microsoft's tech blurb a lot and it bugs me. Perfectly valid word, but feels unnecessary when 'often' is fine.
