I just popped to my local retro game shop over lunch time and had a great time playing an original Space Invaders arcade cabinet. I also played on one called Time Pilot which I'd never heard of before, but it was great.

I got the 2nd highest score on my first go.

You've never heard of Time Pilot ?

Which timezone did you get to ?

https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Prod ... 0258410815

FYI £3.39 on the Xbox store - but dont think its backwards compatible yet so you'd need to play it on your 360

Nope, never heard of it which surprised me. I liked it. I think I got to the 1980's which was the 4th level... According to the Xbox live blurb, there's only 5 but I guess it loops round again once you're done.

I'm envious that you even have a local retro game shop. Although on a rare pub trip last weekend, I found out that my local pub now has Frogger and Rival Schools cabinets

Nice. I'd like that. There's normally around 35 people in my office so it's quite a change.

How is having far fewer people in the office a bad thing?

It's not. I probably should have said that those comments were unrelated. I should have booked it off because I'm bored.

Some good has come out of today. Remember me telling you all about that Microsoft event last week where I had to pretend to be someone else to get in? Well, I've just had a look around the Microsoft Expert Zone website using his details and there was a simple Xbox training programme to do online. All multiple choice questions so it wasn't hard. Anyway, I did it and they've given me a 12 month Xbox live code for my troubles!

Ace!

Sadly little time for boredom this week. My workload seems to grow daily instead of easing up for Christmas. Some stuff has been waiting on my boss so I wondered why he'd been so quiet this morning. Turns out he's been trying to get hold of a PS4 VR for Christmas and he's now going to drive to Cardiff (from Stoke) to pick one up. It's not even for a gift - he just wants to be able to play it on Christmas Day.

I have decided that the only plausible explanation for 2016 is that it's the Darkest Timeline so I am embracing my evil side having already sported a goatee for many years.

My first act of evil will be to go and press Ctrl-Alt-Down Arrow on someone's computer, eventually leading up to insulting the surviving family members of someone killed trying to do good things and finally ending with not indicating at a roundabout.

Soz not Soz.

Last meeting done. On train, I'm done for this year.
We have office party tonight. I've decided that after near-death on A49 and my bruv's health scare, life itself is a fragile, ephemeral thing that can be taken away from you at any time, and it's too damn short. Even by my standards, then, the dial's gonna be set to "11"... :metul:
