I have been offered a copy of Baroque on the Wii to review, but I know nothing about roguelikes, and I am always hearing people bitch about how roguelikes are allways reviewed by people who know nothing about them. If you know lots about roguelikes, and have free time to write up a review of Baroque for me asap, pm me your address and I will get it out to you. If you have never played Nethack, it's basically a game made out of ascii where you die lots and lots and lots. Also, I would have offered to review this but a) I'm dead busy and b) I don't have a Wii... However, in this case, Baroque appears to be made out of polygonal bits and pieces and not text. A synonym for "Rougelike" when not all ascii-based and requring the memorisation of 56 different keyboard commands would be "Hack and Slash". Think of, say, Diablo. or Diablo II. |

A rougelike for the Wii? How the hell are they going to do that? You can only properly play rougelikes on greenscreen mainframe terminals...otherwise it's cheating. |

baroque, the second division team from speedball 2? it seems they have relgated to the third of fourt in the xbla remake, so i guess they are'nt what they used to be.. |
