The update has appeared on my phone this morning

Its 1.1GB in size and needs 5.7GB free space to unpack\install

Not a problem for me as all mine go to OneDrive so I just need to clean out the phone storage

Might be an issue at work as we deployed 350 16GB phones to keep costs down, aside from enforcing a password and providing work email and business apps were needed, we let users do what they want with them, so now will have to start telling them all how to clean out pictures\apps and get online storage set up

I'm pretty sure you need less free space to do the upgrade while connected to a machine running iTunes.

Ok thanks, will set a couple of computers up at work so we can do phones for people with issues.

Other thing is that it takes ages, been going an hour so far and still "preparing update"

People in the dept who did it last night said it took a couple of hours

It took about 45 minutes to do my iPad last night, from hitting apply to being able to use it again.
The other advantage of doing it off a PC is that you only have to download it once instead of having everyone kill your internet connection trying to download 300gb.

Be aware that Dropbox doesn't work, so if you rely on it for backups you might want to think twice.

I don't know how they managed to make the slidey bar that comes out the bottom of the screen uglier, but they managed it! Well done Apple guys. That's why you're number one.

It's perfectly fair enough to not like something, but to be actively annoyed by it when it's easily disabled is surely a kind of masochism?

Let's be fair, I'd only just downloaded iOS8, much like everyone else, and you gotta play with the new stuff before you reach your conclusion about whether you like it or not or even find it helpful. Turns out, I hate it. Obv.

What sorts of bugs are people experiencing? I've been using the beta since the very beginning, and the beta before the GM release was bug-free as far as I could tell, I certainly had zero issue with it compared to previous betas which would crash all over the shop.

He's not easy to stop; otherwise he'd have been stopped many times over by many, many people.

Thy make several games and apparently are already working on a new version, but the old one is now abandoned.

Piczle Lines. Free to download, but you pay for addon packs, which I've been buying regularly.

Don't suppose it works for you? I tried it on my iPad mini and iPhone 4S and rebooted both, but no dice.

tweetbot turned into french (perhaps because i have a french keyboard installed to use the ' ç' ?)

ah, discovered it now.. apparently it added french as a second preference language (probably because of the keyboard), and thus everything which hasn't got a dutch version takes french before it uses english.... solved by removing it... wonder if I'll at italian to the languages, do prefer reading italian over english (no offense intended), but the translations often use much more words / characters than the english equivalents..
