'Songs that make me happy/sad' is basically another 'choose what you like' week.

Musicals- If Blues Brothers is banned, everyone's going to pick 'Blame Canada' instead.

Yeah, only three out of six themes were submitted. Actually four, but I missed Nickachu's PM.

I was going to go for that for the "innapropriate" round :D

I suspect someone will go with the porn song from Avenue Q ;)

Since it's clear from my overall score that most BEEXers have no taste whatsoever I may as well just chuck a fucking dart at my CD collection and pick a random track from whatever it impales.

You were only one vote off the scoring last week. Also, considering you're one of the 'old men' ( ;) ) of the forum, it's probably no real surprise that your music taste isn't in line with the majority. Hell, mine certainly isn't.

Anyway, you're probably better off throwing darts at someone else's CD collection :p

Mine's better. How old do you have to be to be an old man of the forum? Does 35 qualify?

You can still hold your opinion, but it is worthless, and therefore ascribing a significance of right or wrong is of little point.

Hmm. The song which always makes me smile when I hear it was the winner of last week's group (which was STOLEN from me). Guess I shouldn't choose that 'again'?

Surely there should be a rule that songs submitted in previous rounds are out of bounds.

Have we learned nothing from Song Wars 1?

I really should have posted this in the rules thread.

The song I want to pick is a 7 minute epic. And thus will lose spectacularly. Time for a think.

I'm just not going to vote for anything that has been picked before. Especially if it won.

"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was submitted more than once, and no one complained.

Well, not for that reason. ;)

I picked a Stevie Ray Vaughan 9 and a half minute megawiddle in an earlier round, 7 minutes is a catchy pop anthem to me.

On the way to the BeexBeeQue from Gaywood's wedding, the three of us in the car were taking it in turns to pick a song to play on Spotify. Grim... insisted that get to pick two at a time because every song I chose was 7 minutes plus.

Hocus Pocus by Focus is quite long. I think that's the longest song I have submitted...

I've never understood the dislike of long songs, unless they go nowhere in the same way as many radio friendly songs do.

No one. Week 8 is the last of the league rounds, and the knockout rounds are unthemed.

Probably would have been Findus Fop, because Malc and Kissyfur have already picked themes.

Damn, I was hoping to pick "Theme tunes from Sports shows of the 20th century" if I got to choose a topic again.

Oh I see now. Well I never paid much attention to the standings. Would have been nice to have had a reminder to pick a theme though. :(

Hang on, just realised I've not submitted a song for this week. Is there a theme for the songs we're submitting next, or is it a free choice?
