Ummm... AFAIK, you can still comment and vote!

Not as much fun throwing stones if you're not in a glass house of your own though.

However Hocus Pocus being the group leader baffles me even more. I'd rather listen to a mashup of the worzels, jedward and rebecca black. It truly sounds like one of the worst things ever to my ears. But still, that's just subjective taste I guess.

I just can't help being utterly perplexed by it, what am I missing?

I'd never heard it until this morning. My comments in the group thread were pretty much typed out as I was listening. It made me laugh until tears poured down my cheeks, and while I'd stop short of saying it was a brilliant song, it's an absolutely fabulous piece of aural entertainment. Plus, everything else in the group was average at best.

Should there be a post in the main forum letting lurkers and people who aren't taking part know about each round and encouraging voting and commenting? I'm guessing there are people not doing this because they didn't sign up to submit songs.

Do people start getting knocked out after round 3?

Wtf? Can people not read? 8 Week league, then the top 2 from each go into a knockout.

Shit, I chose my song whilst drunk, and then replied to change it to something else, but it looks like I forgot to include craster!

So, I'm stuck with my drunk choice...

Oh well...

Did you decide that you didn't like the Eurovision voting then, Craster?

Yes. Because it didn't work for some people, and it was possible to log out and vote as many times as you liked.

I see a couple of same submission in different groups. What would happen if people chose the same song in the same group?

I remember picking something last time and Mark saying it had already been chosen and to select again. First come first served seems fairest.

Can I suggest a rule for the knockout rounds that no previously used songs can be used again? As much as I love "Together in Electric Dreams", I really don't want to see it again...

I would accept versions of the same song done by a different band (for instance, the original to any of the covers in the covers round).

Thoughts?

So what happens in group A, if I this week I get no points, findus fop gets 3 points and derekfme gets 1.5 (or indeed 2 points and wins it outright?)

There will be 2 or 3 people on 12 points!

Two is fine, because the top two go through. If there's three we'll work something out.

In that scenario, derekfme would be on 12.5 points...

I guess the obvious solution would be something like most victories, then most 2nd places etc. or perhaps total votes gained?

Or fewest punishment songs?

If it helps*, Song Wars 1.0 rules were that the higher total aggregate votes for any tied players went through, acting as a kind of goal difference.

(*By 'helps', I of course mean 'make Craster's job even more longwinded'.)

Also: I won a week! On my own without having to share points! Yay!
