Some very good choices that I already know in this group.

It was either Kirsty or Etienne but Kirsty just bagged it. Just. Adore both songs though.

I have to listen to them all first though.

Meg White isn't the best drummer is she? Fantastic song but being a drummer makes it hard to look past how crap she is.

Also, I'm sure Miley Cyrus shouldn't sound quite so distorted but still, that song suits her.

She is rather stunningly crap, isn't she.

Yeah, the Raconteurs make you realise how good Jack can sound with a decent band behind him.

They sounded excellent when I saw them in Blackpool a few years back.

Not only did we have to listen to that terrible Poison track last week, we now have to listen to a cover version of it?

:'(

I imagine the original version will feature in Group B next week?

I listened to them all out of duty, but I knew it'd always be Saint Etienne, and it was.

I'm biased though because I've loved them to pieces ever since Foxbase Alpha came out, and any excuse to listen to them is always welcome.

Ben Folds

I adore Ben Folds, and have been a huge fan since 'Underground' came out all those years ago. It's a good cover, but doesn't really do a great deal with the original material. Still a good song though.

Kirsty MacColl

Such a good cover that I know it a lot better than the original. A cracking tune.

Miley Cyrus

LOL.

Saint Etienne

I've never really forgiven them for massively overrunning at Glastonbury and causing the Ben Folds Five set to be hugely shortened. The bastards. That said, I do like a lot of their music. This song, not so much.

The Clash

Much like Kirsty above, a great cover that is more well known than the original.

White Stripes

Same comments as the other group it was in. love the band, a bit 'meh' about the song.

Tough group... win goes to... THE CLASH!
