Here are the results, and the secret identities for week one.

Image

The fantastic "Revolte - Ironical Sexism (We Are Terrorists Remix)", cruelly pipped to the post in Group A, there.

The results for week one handily give us the first league tables.

SLIGHT RULE CHANGE: The original plan for the theme-pickers was for the people with the fewest votes for week one (from those to have nominated a track) to choose a theme for week three. They'd have a couple of days to come up with something, and people could then pick songs to go with that theme over the rest of the week. However, the theme-pickers might be away for a couple of days, or might want a while to come up with a killer topic for their group's songs, SO the following people will be picking the themes for WEEK FOUR. And that means, week three is open warfare - pick absolutely any song you like (well, as long as no-one else has picked it for weeks one and two).

NOTE TO THEME PICKERS:
Think up a suitable theme for your group, then PM me to let me know what it is by 11:59pm Tuesday 14th October.
Group A - Nirejhenge - "something to fire you up, get you moving, exciting, fast inspiring"
Group B - Scarysheep3000 - "songs that have parentheses in their titles"
Group C - Spinglo Sponglo! - "songs, about, involving, or sung by Children's Characters (ie from books, tv, film etc)"
Group D - Sheepeh - "Songs which have been on a 1980's movie soundtrack"

NOTE TO EVERYONE: Get your next choice of track (remember, there's now no special theme for week three) to me by 11:59pm Tuesday 14th October. This could be your last chance to select "Mama Who Da Man?" by Richard Blackwood, or Vanilla's "No Way, No Way".

Almost forgot - if anyone wants hold of the Revolte track that finished second in Group A (damn, knew I should have voted for myself!), it's legally available from here. Last link on that page.

I'm pretty sure I voted for garbage, and gave them 3 points, I love them I do.

There are so many bands from the 90s that I love, Supergrass, Garbage, Elastica, Republica, No Doubt, The Cardigans, Blur, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Kula Shaker, Suede, Pulp, Catatonia, The Charlatans, Dodgy, Travis, Ash, Echobelly, boo radleys and so many more that I can't remember right now.
